Background

The direct successor to 2023's Pixel Fold, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is Google's latest flagship foldable smartphone, essentially a "Pixel Fold 2." Announced alongside the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL, the new foldable features an updated, taller design, Google's new Tensor G4 chip, 16 GB of RAM, a triple rear camera system, and built-in Gemini AI.

Announced August 13th, 2024, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold comes in Porcelain or Obsidian and starts at $1799, the same MSRP as the original Pixel Fold.

Identification

The Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold can be identified by its tall camera bar, the Google "G" logo in the center, and its new taller chassis with squared off sides.
