Background

The Pixel 9 Pro XL is the bigger version of the Pixel 9 Pro. The 9 Pro XL features an upgraded screen, an extra rear telephoto camera, more RAM, and higher storage options over the "vanilla" Pixel 9, as well as a bigger screen than the 9 Pro. Announced alongside the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold, the Pro XL model features an all-new design, Google's new Tensor G4 chip, 16 GB of RAM, and built-in Gemini AI.

Announced August 13th, 2024, the Pixel 9 Pro XL comes in four colors—Porcelain, Rose Quartz, Hazel, and Obsidian—and starts at $1,099.

Identification

The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL can be identified by its signature (now rounded) camera bar, the Google "G" logo in the center of the rear cover, and its new rounded chassis with squared off sides. The 9 Pro XL has a matte finish back cover, whereas the regular Pixel 9 has a glossy finish.
