The Kobo Libra Colour is Rakuten Kobo’s first eReader with a color display, along with its partner device, the Kobo Clara Colour. Offering 32 GB of storage, the Kobo Libra Colour inhabits the same form factor as its predecessor, the Kobo Libra 2, but replaces the 7" black and white display with a 7" color E Ink Kaleido 3 touchscreen that allows for a full spectrum of color—without losing that classic E ink look. Moreover, it supports Kobo Audiobooks with a wireless Bluetooth device, along with IPX8 waterproofing for any poolside reading.

For nighttime reading, the Kobo Libra Colour features an optional Dark Mode, plus the built-in ComfortLight PRO to adjust brightness and reduce blue light. At a glance, the Kobo Libra Colour is nearly identical to the Kobo Libra 2, with the slightly curved right edge and the two page-turn buttons. As of April 2024, the Kobo Libra Colour is the only eReader in the Libra lineup to have a color E ink screen.
