HP Pavilion computers have existed since 1995. They generally compete with similar lines from Toshiba and Acer. For many people, 15 inch laptops hit the ‘Goldilocks zone’ of laptops. They’re not too big or small, and they have enough space for a good processor without sacrificing portability. These laptops are popular with content creators and professionals who need to be productive and do occasional creative tasks, but also want a reasonably portable laptop.
The HP Pavilion is a line of computers produced by HP or Hewlett-Packard, an American multinational information technology company based in Palo Alto, CA. They were first introduced in 1995 primarily as a home and home office use computer. There are both laptop and desktop versions of HP Pavilions.
The original HP Pavilion released was actually the second desktop HP ever released by the company. The first was called the HP Multimedia PC. The first Pavilion featured quad-speed CD-ROM drive, Altec Lansing speakers, software for online service access and Microsoft Windows 95, 75 MHz Intel Pentium processor, 8 MB RAM and an 850 MB hard drive.
The HP Pavilion laptops were customizable in the US only and have different models and configurations in other countries.
