Pingtan is an island in Fujian; administratively it is a county of Fuzhou Prefecture.
There are regular buses from Fuzhou, as the island is connected to the mainland by bridge.
CSF operates fast ferries (about 3 hours) from Pingtan in mainland China to Taipei and Taichung in Taiwan.
