Background

Mayor Maria Lourdes "Marides" Fernando was on her first term, and she ran for re-election for second term. She was challenged by singer-actor Jose Parsons Nabiula of PMP, Benjamin "Nonong" Molina Jr., Richard "Dick" Curry, and Evenicula "Bing" Maglajos of DGIPP.

Vice Mayor Marion Andres was on his first term, and he ran for re-election for second term.[1] He was challenged by Rudy Francisco and Maribel "Cookie" Espinosa.

Rep. Del De Guzman was on his first term and he ran for re-election for second term.

Mayor Maria Lourdes "Marides" Fernando was re-elected. Fernando defeated her closest rival, singer-actor Jose Parsons Nabiula with a margin of 67,188 votes.[2]
