Lynnwood is a city of 39,000 people (2019) in the Puget Sound region of Washington State. Lynnwood is a suburban bedroom community for Seattle, Everett and Bellevue. It has one of the largest concentrations of retailers in the region, anchored by the Alderwood Mall and businesses along major streets.

Less than 1 hour north of Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Lynnwood is accessible by Interstate 5, and served by Sound Transit and Community Transit. The Seattle Link light rail also extends to Lynnwood City Center station as well.

  • Sound Transit, toll-free: +1-888-889-6368. Has regional public transit routes including Sounder trains, Link light rail, and express bus in King County (e.g. Bellevue, Federal Way, Kent, Renton, Seattle), Snohomish County (e.g. Everett, Lynnwood), and Pierce County (e.g. Puyallup, Tacoma). Operates buses between Lynnwood and destinations such as Downtown Seattle and Bellevue. Buses typically run every 30 minutes on weekdays, and are more frequent during rush hour.
    • Link Line 1 goes towards Downtown Seattle via Mountlake Terrace, Shoreline, Northgate, U Washington/U-District and Capitol Hill. Trains continue from Downtown Seattle towards Seattle Tacoma International Airport through South Seattle and Tukwila. This replaces the Sound Transit routes to Northgate and Community Transit commuter routes to Northgate and Downtown Seattle. Operates frequently daily. See schedules.
    • 512 traveling from Lynnwood to Everett Station via Ash Way P&R. Operates daily through the day. Transfer to Link Light Rail #1 in Lynnwood to continue towards downtown Seattle via University District/Ravenna and Capitol Hill.
    • 515 Montlake Terrace Fwy Station and Downtown Seattle from Lynnwood. Goes south towards Seattle weekday morning and goes north into Lynnwood weekday afternoons into the evenings.
    • 513 traveling from Lynnwood to Seaway Transit Center in Mukilteo south of Everett. This route operates during weekday rush hours only.
    • 535 traveling from the downtown Bellevue Transit Center in Bellevue to Lynnwood via Canyon Park, Totem Lake, Bothell and Ash Way. Operates Monday through Saturday, throughout the day.
