William J. Hartman is a United States Army major general who served as the commander of the Cyber National Mission Force from August 2019 to January 2024. He previously served as the deputy commanding general of Joint Force Headquarters–Cyber of the United States Army Cyber Command from August 1, 2017 to August 2019.[1][2][3][4][5]
In May 2023, Hartman was nominated for promotion to lieutenant general with assignment as the deputy commander of United States Cyber Command.[6][7]
