
Sevastis in 2013
Vassilis Sevastis (Βασίλης Σεβαστής; 27 April 1949 - 8 April 2021) was a Greek athlete who specialized in the decathlon.
He won Gold in the 1971 Mediterranean Games. After his career as an athlete, he became a coach and teacher, as well as President of the Hellenic Athletics Federation from 1997 to 2011.[1]
Death
Sevastis died of complications from COVID-19 on 8 April 2021, at the age of 72.[2][3]
