Saakow is a town in southern Somalia and is located in the Middle Juba (Jubbada Dhexe) region of Somalia. It lies between Bu'ale, Dinsoor and Bardera. Marehan are the majority that reside in the town and district . The district is primarily inhabited the Marehan clan, and was a key strategic point for the Somali National Front to initiate attacks in the South West State of Somalia and maintain to protect their districts Dinsoor and Qansahdhere.
