Putsil is a valley located in the Koraput district, about 40 km from the town of Koraput and 70 km from the nearest airport in Jeypore.[1] Putsil is also known as the Switzerland of Odisha because both the Eastern Ghats and Deomali (the highest peak of Odisha) are visible from the valley.
The valley is utilized as a tourism and glamping center.[2] Villagers around Putsil use flowing water for irrigation and hydroelectricity.[3]
