Career
2017-2021
In 2017, she won the Petits As U14 championship in Tarbes, France. In July 2021, she won the $60k President's Cup in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan, alongside Alina Charaeva.
2023-2024: WTA, top 125 and Major debuts
In July 2023, Timofeeva won her first WTA Tour title at the Budapest Grand Prix on her tour debut, defeating Kateryna Baindl in three sets in the final. She became only the sixth lucky loser in WTA Tour history to win a singles title, and the first since 2019. She was also one of nine players to lift the trophy in their tour debut. Only one player, Olga Danilovic at the 2018 Moscow River Cup, had previously accomplished both. As a result she reached the top 125 in the rankings on September 2023.
She qualified for the 2024 Australian Open making her Major debut.[2][3]
