Homeland is a British far-right nationalist political party[1] founded by Kenny Smith.

Organisation

Homeland was formed predominantly by Scottish members who abandoned the Patriotic Alternative far-right hate group.[2] Its chairman is Isle of Skye-based[3] Kenny Smith,[2] who founded it in May 2023. He was previously the national administration officer for Patriotic Alternative[4] and the head of administration[5] and unsuccessful political candidate of the British National Party.[6]

Hope Not Hate categorises the group as a neo-nazi organisation.[2] The anti-fascist group Red Flare described the group as the "most dangerous group on the British far right".[3]

The group attempted to register as a political party in May 2023.[7] Its application was rejected on the grounds of it being incomplete in August 2023.[8]

Political position

The group is described as far-right by the media,[1] but the group's official website refutes the use of the term and states its perspective on nationalism, emphasising self-determination, sovereignty and the principle of a nation-state.[9]
