Dolistowo Stare was the location of one of many Roman Catholic churches where the priests had to know the Lithuanian language according to the Grand Duke of Lithuania Alexander Jagiellon in 1501
Stare Dolistowo [ˈstarɛ dɔlisˈtɔvɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Jaświły, within Mońki County, Podlaskie Voivodeship, in north-eastern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 19 kilometres (12 mi) north-east of Mońki and 51 km (32 mi) north of the regional capital Białystok.
The parish of Dolistowo was founded on February 6, 1500.
