- ↑ Per Boston Society of Film Critics voting rules, if the winner for Best Film is a non-English language film, then the final vote is for Best English Language Film. The other instances of this were in 1985 — where Ran won Best Film while Best English Language Film was awarded to Prizzi's Honor — and in 2021, when Best Film went to Drive My Car and Best English Language Film was awarded to The Power of the Dog.
