Bensonhurst Maternity Hospital[1][2] was built in the mid-1920s[3][2] "across Bay Parkway from JCH"[4] (Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst). It had its share of families with fathers who "paced ... and nervously smoked one cigarette after another"[5] and families with sad news.[6]
