A Shop for Killers (Korean: 킬러들의 쇼핑몰) is an upcoming South Korean web series written by Ji Ho-jin and Lee Kwon, who also directing it with Noh Gyu-seob, and starring Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-jun. Based on a novel The Killer's Shopping Mall written by Kim Ji-young, about a girl who lost her parents and grew up in the hands of his uncle who runs an suspicious shopping mall.[2] It is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on January 17, 2024, in selected territories, and on Hulu in the United States.

Synopsis

The series tells the story of Jeong Ji-an (Kim Hye-jun), who becomes the target of highly skilled killers due to the dangerous legacy left by her uncle Jeong Ji-man (Lee Dong-wook), who died unexpectedly. Trying to figure out what's going on, she then goes back to her early years.[3][4]

Production

The Walt Disney Company Korea will be the provider while Merrychristmas, a subsidiary of A2Z Entertainment, and Project Onion will co-produce the series.[1]

Casting

In November 2022, Lee Dong-wook and Kim Hye-jun were reportedly cast for the series which will be released on a global OTT platform.[2] Lee and Kim was announced as the main cast of the series in May 2023.[5]

In December 2023, Seo Hyun-woo, Jo Han-sun, Park Ji-bin, Geum Hae-na, and Kim Min were revealed to play various roles in the series.[9]

Release

The series was confirmed to be released worldwide on Disney+ in 2024.[5]

In December 2023, Disney+ announced the release date of the which will unveiled on January 17, 2024.[10] It will also release on Hulu in the United States.[11]
