2024 Iranian Assembly of Experts election is going to be held on March 1, 2024, with the elections of Islamic Consultative Majlis. Directly elected by the public from a list of candidates vetted by the Guardian Council, the Assembly of Experts is made up of 88 clerics with the responsibility of supervising the Supreme Leader and selecting a new one.

Among notable candidates former president Hassan Rouhani has registered to be nominated for candidacy for his home province of Semnan and Rouhani's former Interior Minister, Mahmoud Alavi, is also running for re-election. President Ebrahim Raisi, who is also a member of the current Assembly of Experts, is expected to run for re-election in Tehran.[1][2]
