The Motorola Edge is a smartphone developed by Motorola Mobility. This Android device was released in 2021 and is primarily used as a communication device, allowing users to make calls, send texts, and access the internet. However, it could be used for other functionalities such as entertainment, photography and videography, social media, and navigation. This device is pairable with anything with Bluetooth compatibility, allowing you to play music to speakers wirelessly or even hands-free calling in vehicles that offer Android Auto.
The smartphone weighs about 7.05 oz and is offered in two colors, Nebula Blue or Solar Black. This exterior is made with Gorilla Glass and plastic affair. The smartphone's screen is measured at 6.8 inches and is offered in a 144Hz display with a 1080 x 2460 pixels resolution. The internal specs of this smartphone are equipped with an Adreno 642L GPU and 8 GB RAM with 256GB of storage.
This model is like any other smartphone in the current generation and has very similar looks and features to any other Android smartphone. As of today, there are no recalls to be found, but a well-known malfunction found in the 2021 Motorola Edge is the repeated reboot screen. However, this smartphone is reliable with a good processor and long-lasting battery.
As of March 2024, there are 20 different Motorola Edges, the newest current model is the Motorola Edge 40 Pro which was released in 2023. This new model has a 165 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 on a 6.67" endless edge display.
Identification
The 2021 Motorola Edge has a sleek design in a Nebula Blue or Solar Black color. The smartphone is rectangular shaped with the volume and power buttons both on the right side. The front is a touchscreen gorilla glass case while the back is seen with 3 different cameras with a logo of a “M” right in the center of it. In order to find the specific model number for this phone, it could be found in the settings menu on your Motorola Edge, then navigate to "About phone" or "System" and look for "Model number." If the phone does not function you could look for the model number on the back panel of the smartphone; steps are shown on the troubleshooting page on how to remove the back panel.
