The first-generation Elli Chargers, introduced by Volkswagen Group's subsidiary, Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH, marked a significant step in Volkswagen's push towards electric mobility. "Elli," short for "Electric Life," became Volkswagen's platform for delivering EV charging solutions. The first-generation Elli Chargers were designed to provide convenient home charging for electric vehicles, supporting the company’s commitment to expanding consumer charging infrastructure.
The first-generation Elli Charger Lineup is manufactured by EVBox Manufacturing B.V., an electric vehicle supply equipment company based in the Netherlands.
