Released in September 2001, the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM is the third 70-200mm EF lens produced by Canon. This model is very similar to the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM (released in March 1995) with the primary difference being the inclusion of an image stabilization system. The purchase of the lens came with lens caps, a lens hood, the tripod mount, and a padded case.

Despite its age, this lens is still a great choice for many photographers, especially those wanting a professional telephoto lens and are on a budget. With its all metal construction and exceptional build quality, this lens was made to last. It is important to note though that Canon no longer services this lens. This means if something on the lens does break, you'd be limited to 3rd party repair shops and replacement parts may be difficult to come across.
