By car

WA-20 passes through town, from the west towards Burlington and Interstate 5 exit #231, and from the east along the North Cascades Highway towards North Cascades National Park.

WA-9 passes through town, from the south towards Arlington and from the north towards Sumas and the Canadian border.

By bus

From Mount Vernon Station take the 70x going towards Concrete via Sedro Woolley. Likewise one can also take the 205 bus from Mt Vernon Station to Skagit Valley College (SVC). From SVC the same bus becomes the 305 which continues towards Sedro Woolley.

  • 🌍 Lake Whatcom Railway (From the intersection of Highways 9 and 20, travel north on Highway 9 for 10 miles and turn right at NP Rd), ☏ +1 360-441-0719. Ride on train cars that are over 100 years old pulled by a steam engine.
  • On the 4th of July, Sedro-Woolley hosts a chainsaw carving contest. The city buys several sculptures each year and displays them around town. They now have more than 25 carvings to see.
