  • 🌍 Leang-Leang Cave. Contains cave paintings that are at least 39,900 years old; many are heavily damaged, but there are hand stencils that are quite well preserved. 
  • 🌍 Rammang-Rammang (About 40 km from central Makassar (or 20 km from the airport) towards Pare-Pare). Visit this very beautiful karstic site, a UNESCO Biosphere (and tentative World Heritage site); count 1 hr by motorbike from Makassar airport. There, you should rent a boat (Rp200,000 for 4 persons) to reach the site. (updated Jul 2016)
