Mérens-les-Vals

Mérens-les-Vals is a town in the Ariège department in France. Mérens-les-Vals is a stopover village on the GR 10 long-distance hiking trail. As a result, the town is the starting point for many hikes, such as the family-friendly Comte pond or the Bésines pond. The GR 10 leaves Ariège by crossing the Col de la Coume d'Agnel (2,470 m ).

St Pierre
  • 🌍 Former Saint-Pierre church. A 10th-century Romanesque church listed as a Historic Monument since 1969. The nave is in a state of crystallized ruins. It has a high square bell tower in Catalan - Andorran style with three levels with three double bays on each side.
