By public transport

The region is served from Montreal by the Exo La Presqu’Île and Exo Sud-Ouest bus services as well as the Vaudreuil-Hudson commuter rail line.

By car

The Autoroute du Souvenir (A-20) connects Montreal to Toronto through the municipalities along the St. Lawrence River.

The passage from the island of Montreal is via the Taschereau between Vaudreuil-Dorion and Île Perrot, and the Galipeault bridge between Île Perrot and Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue.

The Félix-Leclerc Autoroute (A-40), a segment of the Trans-Canada Highway, connects Montreal to Ottawa and Winnipeg to the west. This highway serves the municipalities along the Ottawa River, as well as Saint-Lazare. It crosses the Lac des Deux Montagnes towards Senneville by the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge.

The Autoroute de l'Acier (A-30) connects Vaudreuil-Dorion to Sorel-Tracy in the northeast. This road connects the different parts of Montérégie and serves as Montreal's southern ring road . It crosses the St. Lawrence River by the Serge-Marcil bridge between Les Cèdres and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield.

The cycle routes include the green route 5, which runs alongside the Soulanges canal.

The main historic sites include the Coteau-du-Lac National Historic Site, the Pointe-du-Moulin windmill, the Trestler House and the Félix-Leclerc House.

Annually, in the first half of October, the deciduous trees are adorned with bright colours, before the leaves fall to the ground. This period is ideal for nature hikes, particularly at: Les Forestiers-de-Saint-Lazare Nature Park, Pointe-des-Cascades Nature Park, Mont Rigaud or the Pavillon Pointe-Fortune trail.
