  • 🌍 Tamarind waterfalls (also known as Tamarin Falls). A beautiful attraction of the southwest of Mauritius. These falls are awkward to reach, but no doubt, it's worth the effort. Tamarind Falls on the Interior portion of the island is an incredible string of about 7 waterfalls surrounds by green mountains and is tucked away beyond a sugar cane field. Bring something to swim in as there are numerous pools beneath certain falls to take a dip in. There are some spots that mean getting a little dirty, but it is well worth it. First-time visitors should not try to go unguided. This is one of the most beautiful and calmest places in Mauritius, and one of the best places for nature and animal lovers, and for finding exotic plants and birds.
