Tana
municipality in Finnmark, Norway
Tana (Sámi: Deatnu) is a municipality in Finnmark, named after the main river of Finnmark, Europe's most important salmon river. It's an important hub in the area, right across the border from Finland, and a centre of Sami culture. The main village, Tana bru, is named after the famous bridge of E6 over the river.
- Not to be confused with Antananarivo (Tana) in Madagascar or Tanna in Vanuatu.
