Rio Novo do Sul is a municipality of 12,000 people (2020) in Central Espírito Santo.
It is 102 km from the capital Vitória.
Some of its attractions are the various rivers, waterfalls, mountains and valleys, agrotourism properties, and handicrafts.
The 🌍 Frade e a Freira. natural monument, one of the best known postcards of the state, is 12 km from the city's headquarters and is about 370 m high.
The region is also rich in rivers and through the well-known Maria Drummond grotto, a small chapel was built on the site and in the past there used to be a source of drinking water, where travelers stopped to refresh themselves.
Jams and bread with sausage are typical of the city.
