Reñaca

Reñaca is a city to the north of Viña del Mar in Central Chile. This small beach town is a popular destination for Santiaguinos and Argentines from Mendoza in the summer months of January and February. The most "popular" section of the beach is the Quinta Sector to the north where most of the young, fashionable people can be found.

A residential area of ​​high commercial value has been generated in the vicinity of the beach, with the characteristic step-shaped buildings. Reñaca is visited by people from all over the country and many foreign tourists, especially from Argentina.

By car or take a bus from the Plaza de Armas in Viña del Mar to Reñaca. It is about 15 minutes up the coast from the center of Viña on the way to Con Con.

• Reñaca Beach is the youth center of the Viña del Mar commune and the city of Valparaíso. For this reason, on Avenida Borgoño, which extends to the neighboring municipality of Concón, in the northern sector of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, there are several bars, discos, restaurants, coffee shops, etc., as well as in other places in the town plan.
• The Gómez Carreño Natural Park has 536 hectares of coastal sclerophyllous native forest, where you can see a large amount of endemic flora and fauna of the region, including the Zorro Chilla, Cururo, nd Quique (in danger of extinction). Birds include the Aguilucho, Tucuquere, Siete Colores, and Rara. You can also find one of the largest forests of Bellotos del Norte (more than 200 specimens), which is one of the trees in Chile declared a natural monument.
• Reñaca is one of the many places where people gather on December 31 to see the Pyrotechnic Festival of Greater Valparaíso, which takes place every New Year in the communes of Valparaíso , Viña del Mar and Concón.
• In January of each year, the international rugby seven (seven) championship is held at the Mackay School, attracting thousands of fans of this sport.

• Reñaca Square: It is one of the 6 shopping centers in Viña del Mar. It has more than 60 clothing stores and other types of stores, including Sassy, ​​Ficcus, Diva Secret, Espirit, Isabel Cordon, Core, Le Coq Sportif, among others.

• Cochoa: A little further north, approximately 3 km away, is the small town of Cochoa. Cochoa beach is peaceful, with calm waters, and with a much more familiar atmosphere. But Reñaca's breakneck growth has progressed to Cochoa, where a host of real estate and commercial projects are under construction.
