• 🌍 Palmetto Estuary Preserve (directly north of the Hernando de Soto Bridge; abuts the Manatee River). A 20-acre preserve, ecological restoration of the area was done by the Tampa-based Ecosphere Restoration Institute and in 2002 it was awarded Environmental Project of the Year by the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council.
