Logansport

Logansport is a small city in Northern Indiana. It was named after a Shawnee warrior named James Logan, or Captain Logan. It was a center for both canal and rail traffic since its founding in 1826, and commands a prominent location at the confluence of the Eel and Wabash Rivers.

Various buildings represent times in history - one room school house log cabin, carriage house, etc. The museum has thousands of historical artifacts from the area covering all periods of time in its Victorian surroundings. France Park is also a popular destination for day trips ($5 admission as of 2022), with a swimming beach and a SCUBA diving rental center at a former limestone quarry, and many forest trails. $45 for cabin.
