This town serves the commercial needs for several counties in three states (Maryland, West Virginia, & Pennsylvania). It's the only Walmart between Hagerstown and Morgantown, as well as the "only" for many other stores for a good distance.

Get in

  • highways: US Route 40 or Interstate 68
  • Bus/shuttle connections at the Country Club Mall east to/from Frostburg and west to/from Cumberland.

Get around

Car is pretty much only practical option.

A good number of stores, including Lowe's, Staples, Martin's, Gabriel Brothers, etc., as well as a couple shopping centers and the Country Club Mall, which has a super Walmart.

Plenty of fast-food choices, as well as several family restaurants. There is also a food court in the Country Club Mall and a 24/7 McDonald's inside the Walmart at the mall.
