By car

When going on the Hunter Expressway (M15), exit onto Main Road and turn left, then continue for about a kilometre or two and you'd be there.

By train and bus

Take the Hunter Line to 🌍 Maitland Station, then take the 161 bus line to Kurri Kurri.

  • Murals. There are 55 murals around the time illustrating events from the regions history (updated Oct 2017)
  • 🌍 Big Kookaburra. Sitting smack-bang in the centre of the town, it's hard to overlook this 4.5-metre (15 ft) statue on 219 Lang St (between Lang and Barton Streets), in the Garden of Honour. Like most rural Australian towns, this is Kurri Kurri's "big thing". (updated Dec 2022)

A family-friendly heritage railway and museum, claiming to be the only heritage railway north of the Hawkesbury River (in New South Wales).
