  • 🌍 Krishnagiri Dam (KRP Dam). A dam that spans the Thenpennai River. The park near the dam is a famous tourist spot. The dam is flooded with tourists during the weekends. There is a two-wheeler and four-wheeler parking facility available near the park. There are monkeys around the park. The park has a children's play area, fountains, a lawn and jogger footpath. ₹5. Historical monuments are preserved and exhibited here. It is not only a place of tourism but also a centre of education. This museum collects the monuments and classifies and preserves them to conduct research on their historical worthiness. The Syed Basha Mountain is famous for two Sufi martyr saints who were slain in a battle long ago, every year on the Tenth of Shawwal (Islamic month) a celebration is held.   • Rayakottai. About 32 km west of Krishnagiri and easy to reach by bus. There is a hill fort that has some relics from British occupation times. It is a very quiet place.
