Kiunga

Kiunga is a city in the Western Province of Papua New Guinea.

Kiunga makes most of its money as a port on the Fly River, which transships products for the Ok Tedi mine and the mine town of Tabubil. It also has some of the best bird watching in Papua New Guinea.

• PNG Air has daily flights from the nation's capital, Port Moresby.

• Bird watching. There are an enormous number of different bird species in the Kiunga area and the town is rapidly becoming a major center for birdwatching enthusiasts.
