Keighley (pronounced "keeth-lee") is a town in the English county of West Yorkshire, north west of Bradford in the Aire Valley.

🌍 Keighley station is on the Aire Valley railway line, with trains every 30 min east via Shipley to Leeds and Bradford, and west to Skipton. Less frequent trains continue west through the moors to Carnforth, Lancaster, Morecambe, Appleby and Carlisle.

Owned and maintained by the National Trust, East Riddlesden Hall is a 17th century manor house found in the outskirts of Keighley in the now-absorbed village of East Riddlesden. Features include gardens, the Rose Window, a Great Barn that is open to the public, a Priest's Hole and 5 ghosts (including the Grey Lady). admission adults £5.10, children £2.60, family £11.60, NT members free. 
  • 🌍 Cliffe Castle Museum. Tu-F 10AM-4PM. Sa, Su 11AM-4PM. Built in the 1880s as the home of Victorian millionaire textile manufacturer, Henry Isaac Butterfield. the museum has grand Victorian rooms with displays of local history and a collection of Morris and Co stained glass. free. Do

  • Rugby: Keighley Cougars were relegated in 2023, so they now play rugby league (13-a-side) in League One, the third tier; the playing season is Feb-Sept. Their home ground Cougar Park (capacity 7800) is along A650 half a mile north of the railway station.
