  • Irati National Forest (Floresta Nacional de Irati - FLONA), municipality of Fernandes Pinheiro (via BR 277 and another 5 km without asphalt or via BR 153 and another 1 km without paving), ☏ +55 42 422 1588. 08:00-11:30, 13:30-17:30. A 3,500-ha forest with a higher concentration of native Araucaria forest. A part of the area is reforested with araucaria, pine and eucalyptus. Its main native species are araucaria, walnut, mate, bracatinga, cedar and oak. Fauna includes the Blue Magpie, Sabiá, Tiriva, Parakeet, Deer, Capuchin Monkey, Paca, Cotia, and Capybara. Visiting is allowed if you provide prior notice of excursions.
