Hintertux

Hintertux im Zillertal is a ski resort in the Tuxer Valley of Tyrol, Austria. With the beautiful glacier (Hintertuxer Gletscher) skiing is possible 365 days a year.

The Kolkgang in the Spannagel Cave

• 🌍 Spannagel Cave (Spannagelhöhle). A 10 km long cave system, at an altitude of 2,686 m the highest cave in Europe. It is one of the rare large caves in the Alps, since the crystalline rock isn't favourable for cave formation. The first 500 m of the cave can be visited by guided tour only, there is also a museum inside one of the chambers as well as a gift shop. (updated Sep 2020)
