Floyd

Floyd is a tiny town of just under 500 people in Southwest Virginia. It is known as a regional destination for music, especially bluegrass music and old-time music.

• The Friday Night Jamboree, which features local and area bluegrass, gospel and old-time bands, has been held each Friday night in Floyd for many years.
• Floydfest, an annual music festival held in late July, attracts thousands of visitors and encompasses many genres, from mountain music to electronic music to performing arts.
