Fleetwood is surrounded on 3 sides by water--the Irish Sea to the north and west and the River Wyre to the east.

Get in

Fleetwood is about 8 miles (13 km) from Blackpool.

Fleetwood is reached via A585 from Junction 3 of the M55.

Local bus services run from Blackpool and other local towns.

The Blackpool tramway runs between Fleetwood and Blackpool.

The nearest stations are Poulton-le-Fylde and Blackpool North. (Fleetwood no longer has a link to the national rail network.)

Fleetwood is reachable by bus from 🌍 Blackpool Airport (BLK) (change of bus needed).

🌍 Manchester Airport (MAN) is also easily accessible and offers a greater selection of destinations.

Football: Fleetwood Town were relegated in 2024 and now play soccer in League Two, the fourth tier. Their Highbury Stadium (capacity 5300) is on Park Avenue in town centre and on the tram route.
