Eastend is a town of 500 people (2016) in Southwest Saskatchewan, known for its T-rex discovery centre.

The drive to Eastend is about 385 km (239 mi) via the Trans-Canada Highway up to Gull Lake, and then using Highways 37 and 13.

A palaeontological museum which contains a cretaceous gallery, a cenozoic gallery and a fossil research station but is mostly known for "Scotty the T. rex", who was described to be the largest and oldest T. rex in the world, with an estimated weight of 8870 kilograms, a length of 13 metres and an age of over 30 years.   • 🌍 Jones Peak is 10 km south-west of Eastend. It was named after H.S. "Corky" Jones for his tireless work as an amateur palaeontologist and in preserving the history of Eastend.
