Juna Mahal
The historical town has been the seat of the erstwhile Dungarpur State. The Rajput royals ruled from here from 13th century to the independence of India in 1947.

- 🌍 Juna Mahal (Old Palace). 10AM-4PM. A former royal residence on the foothill. Accessed by narrow crowded road up the hill. Early Rajput fort palace built from 13th to 19th century by different rulers. It has seven floors decorated with local green stone called pareva, murals, frescoes, mirror and glass inlays. The palace is fortified and represent the evolution of architecture, art and construction from 13th to 19th century. Poorly maintained but worth a visit.
