The main employer in the city is the factory of Eybl AG, with a textile profile, specialized in the production of interior components for cars (steering wheels, upholstery for BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen, Jaguar, Renault). Other companies are present in the fields of wood processing, food industry, and textiles.
Deta is in the southwest of Romania, in the Bârzava Plain, 43 km south of Timișoara, 18 km to the border with Serbia.
