  • 🌍 Steptoe Butte State Park (From Colfax, north on US Highway 195 for six miles, turn east onto Scholz Road, then follow signs to Oakesdale and Steptoe Butte). 6AM-6PM, year round. A 3,612-foot-tall butte, formed from quartzite, rises above the surrounding flatlands.
