Chateaubelair is a large fishing village on the Leeward (west) coast in Saint Vincent just south of the volcano of Soufrière.

Get in

There are local buses from Kingstown during the week for 8 EC$. They might not run on Sundays and public holidays all the way to Chateaubelair.

Get around

See

Local attractions include Trinity Falls, Dark View Falls, and rock carvings which are an archaeological find and are believed to have been left by Kalinago (an indigenous people formerly known as Island Caribs).

Do

  • 🌍 Hike La Soufrière. The highpoint of the island is the summit of the 1719 eruption, North of the current crater.
