Northwest Bogotá is comprised majorly by the locality of Suba, and a small part of the locality of Barrios Unidos. The locality of Suba is the most populous district in Bogota, with over 1 and a half million citizens, it is almost its own independent city. Suba is a massive borough, encompassing broad residential districts, world-class shopping malls, expansive financial centers, as well as its own colonial center. Suba has a mix of wealthy neighborhoods, country clubs, middle-class neighborhoods, shopping malls, parks, libraries, and theaters. One of the most famous theaters in Bogota is located in Suba, the Julio Mario Santo Domingo theater, with a modernist design. It is a lesser known destination for restaurants, but it has some great and varied food options, as well as dozens of modern shopping malls. Many of the neighborhoods in Suba are largely residential and empresarial, but they still hold a great architectural value to them. Key destinations in Suba include, the Suba hills, the Niza neighborhood, the Lagos de Cordoba area, a planned residential district built in the 1950s with English architecture, the Lagartos neighborhood, as well as the Colonial center, and the Parque La Colina and Titan Plaza Shopping malls (two of the biggest shopping malls in Bogota, each with over 300 stores).

    The B, C, D, and E Zones pass through Northwest Bogotá, with the E Zone being most useful for Barrios Unidos and the C Zone most useful for Suba.

    The E Zone passes through Barrios Unidos starting at Avenida Chile, coming north from Teusaquillo-Salitre and running along the Norte-Quito-Sur (NQS) Highway/K30. The route then splits, with the E Zone continuing eastwards to join up with the B Zone section at Virrey, north of which the B Zone follows the western boundary between Suba and Usaquén along the Autonorte. The northwest fork from the E Zone connects to the C Zone, which traverses the district through Suba along Avenida Suba—Suba's main road.

    The D Zone briefly traverses the district in Barrios Unidos along Calle 80, going west from the Zona Rosa, starting at Calle 76, before entering Western Bogotá.

    NQS - Calle 75 is the junction station between the E, C, and D Zones.

    • Centro Cultural Julio Mario Santo Domingo, Calle 170 #67-51, Localidad de Suba. The Centro cultural Julio Mario Santo Domingo is one of the largest event centers in South America. The building complex was inaugurated in 2010, by both the government of the Capital District and the Santo Domingo family, becoming one of the city's major and most advances theaters, with a modernist design that resembles that of boat, and that is surrounded by vertical gardens on all four sides. The complex is divided into four sections, the Julio Mario Santo Domingo Theater, the Santo Domingo Library, the intentional Cultural Center, the events and fair center, and the San Jose de Bavaria Public Park. The Santo Domingo complex houses a theater with a capacity for approximately 1 thousand 400 spectators, that can be used for concerts, orchestras, shows, and all kind of events, a library with over 10,000 books, a cultural center, an orchestra room, and a ballet room, experimental music centers, over 20 different meeting rooms, the largest one with a capacity of over 1 thousand people, two restaurants restaurant, and a cafe, as well as a cultural center, and a public park with over 6 hectares.     • Parque Mirador de los Nevados, Kra 87A #145-50. M-F 8AM-11AM,2PM-5PM. A unique park on the Indigenous Reservation of Suba, with a layout designed to reflect the cosmology of the indigenous Muisca peoples, a grand circular plaza with three obelisks and an astral plaza. If you are in this part of the city and have a car, this is definitely worth your while. 
    • 🌍 Humedal La Conejera (Take Ave Suba west towards to Kra 118 and turn right to go north to Calle 153 and turn left), ☏ +57 1 688-0768. 8AM-3PM daily. These wetlands form a park of sorts at the very northern edge of populated Suba—to the north of Portal Suba. It's one of the best representations of the wetlands that once covered much of what is now urban Bogotá, and is home to diverse flora and fauna. 
    • 🌍 Plaza Fundacional de Suba, ☏ +57 1 681-5356. This is the plaza where Suba was founded as an independent pueblo in 1550 (it was only annexed to Bogotá in 1954). On the east side is the lovely Church of the Immaculate Conception of Suba.
