Barabai

Barabai is a city in South Kalimantan. Barabai is a capital city of Central Hulu Sungai regency. The town is at the feet of the Meratus Mountains that runs in a north-south arc on the island of Borneo.

It is 165 km (4 hours by car) from Banjarmasin to Barabai.

Barabai is well known with the culture and the tourism places like Batu Benawa, and Baruh Bunga.

Murakata Stadium is a national standard stadium where matches are often held between football clubs. In addition, the stadium yard is quite large, so it is often used as a place to hold concerts by the capital's band artists.

Barabai is well known for the traditional foods, such as apam, and pakasam.
