Bafatá is a city in Guinea-Bissau.
Easily reached from Bissau - a two hour drive on a good road. Plenty of sept-places.
About one hours' drive from Gabú - also on a good road.
The "paragem" (bus station) is a bit far away from the old colonial centre. It's a shorter walk if you get off at the Amilcar Cabral Monument and walk downhill to the river
From Buba, take a direct bus or change at Retunda De Bambadinca. This should take around 3500 CAF, luggage included (2023).
There is a 🌍 Bus Station.
There are at least two banks, located at the main (asphalt) road in the city center.
There are a few restaurants in town, ask around about where to find them, people are most helpful.
Bar Kasumai in central Bafata (next to the old Church) serves imported beers and soft drinks late into the night. Basic meals are available here. African atmosphere.
