Babol
city in Mazandaran Province, Iran
Babol (Mazanderani: باوول, Persian: بابل) is a city in the Caspian region of Iran, north-east of Tehran and about 30 km from Sari. It is the chief commercial centre of Mazandaran Province and was once the major trading center of northern Iran. The population was estimated to be about 220,000 in 2011.
