The Asamblea Popular de los Pueblos de Oaxaca (Popular Assembly of the Peoples of Oaxaca), or APPO, is the self-declared governing body of Oaxaca, Mexico. It was formed by representatives of Oaxaca’s state regions and municipalities, unions, non-governmental organizations, social organizations, and cooperatives in response to the government repression of a teachers' union strike in June 2006.
